But my experience and knowledge of history strongly suggests that changing/correcting attitudes takes time. Lots of time. And some of what you discussed may be firmly rooted in a misplaced regard for tradition. Lower-case "T."<br /><br />An 'up' side, these days, is that resources - including one of my favorites, the Catechism of the Catholic Church - are available online. This year I heard of people packing away all the decorations on the evening of the 25th, after they'd eaten, because they were sick of it all. In out house we don't get a tree or put the crib out or even put the cards up, until, at the earliest, a week before. Usually it's the weekend before, on the last Sunday of Advent. We are never fed up with Christmas decorations around us. We still have our crib up and will keep it until the 2nd Feb, Feast of the Presentation. Today, I tidied after getting rid of the Christmas tree, lights and cards. My son had a great time on Sunday evening burning the tree. The hissing and the sparks were a picture to behold. 💙grams ramblingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15627561019772248870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7848199850119259567.post-26283795366931393052022-01-11T11:22:27.208-05:002022-01-11T11:22:27.208-05:00Everything for the Lord.

We are very fortunate this week to be starting Eucharistic Adoration again in our Parish after many months of Covid fear. On Thursday, The Feast of The Epiphany ( what better timing could there be?), we will have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from after the 10.00 am Mass in the morning till 10.00 pm in the evening. It's not been easy to get the hours covered and it's a bit flimsy, but myself and my husband are going to be around so that Our Lord is not left alone. grams ramblingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15627561019772248870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7848199850119259567.post-12746691859095015992022-01-02T07:25:38.265-05:002022-01-02T07:25:38.265-05:00Yes, I love this blessing too and have used it in ...Yes, I love this blessing too and have used it in my comments for yesterday's feastday.
