Name the lady

Speaking personally I'm quite happy calling her the Lady..but Flossie is nice :)

    Please make this a formal fun decision with a special post listing all the suggestions on the earlier post and perhaps we can decide if she is just to remain mysterious. Might avoid arguments!
    Reaching agreement on childrens names is a nightmare.
    Flossie is OUT! Nil point. Deux point to Lizzie so far. (:
    She could have an Anniversary Day to celebrate the first appearance of the ACWB.
    Whatever happens please do not name her on the blog picture. Leave that alone. It is beautiful in its simplicity.

    I see you all want to name the lady! Or nearly all..I'd best go check firstly where I found her..I may need to give an acknowledgement...Mrs Collins is definitely out! Personal reasons!

    Oh dear! No offence meant. Just a joke plus smiley face. Is Flossie a favourite name, a beloved Aunt perhaps! Sorry.
    You see what I mean about naming. We can't have World War III at the Association so soon! (:
    Maybe just list her possible secret names on a post and call it GUESS HER NAME and leave her as "The Lady". Then everyone will be happy.
    I notice there is a man in the distant backgound so the ACWB has been inclusive! lol

August 11 is the memorial of St. Clare, one of my favorite saints. She was the first woman to follow the life of radical poverty practiced by St. Francis of Assisi and is the co-founder of the Poor Clares. Although I am not a Franciscan, I have had Franciscan friends, clergy, and spiritual directors instruct me on the beauty of St. Clare's spirituality. The Memorare

This popular prayer, a favorite of many Catholics, dates back to the 15th century and takes its name from the first Latin word of the prayer, "memorare," which means "remember." The Memorare is of unknown authorship, although it has been attributed to St. Augustine (354-430), St. John Chrysostom (c. 347-407) and, with more reason, to St. Bernard of Clairvaux (c. 1090-1153). St. Bernard's sermons on Mary were famous, and it was his Cistercian monks in the monastery of Citeaux in the 12th century who popularized the name "Our Lady" for Mary. The Memorare has also been attributed to the French cleric Claude Bernard (1588-1641), known as the "poor priest" of Paris, whose homilies contain passages that echo its words.
