Thank you, Shadowlands. Some of the finest priests I have known/know were/are men who have struggled/are struggling with alcoholism. May I ask your prayers for a friend - not a priest - whose life is chaotic because he has not yet acknowledged he is an alcoholic. His situation reminds me of that of poor George Best, Lord rest his soul.
