The Christ of Space ( Spanish) El Cristo del Universo.

            Con la recuperación del sueño espacial de llegar a otros astros, la presencia de hombres en lo infinito del cielo les ha hecho admirar y sentir la inmensidad y tamaño del universo y la pequeñez y vulnerabilidad del hombre e inclusive cuestionarse el origen de toda esa magnificencia al grado de que a algunos se han acercado a Dios. No solo el espacio y la realización de su pequeñez los ha hecho pensar o reafirmar la existencia de Dios, también la compañía de nuestra Madre, a la que algunos de ellos se han aferrado para protección, llevándola clandestinamente o abiertamente hasta la estación espacial, donde todos los astronautas llegan al subir en los cohetes lanzados. Do you have mountains in your life?

Today we celebrate the beautiful Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord ( Matthew 17:1 + ) when Jesus took Peter, James and John up a high mountain and they witnessed his transfiguration.   Scripture tells us his “face shone like the sun” and “his clothes became white as light.” Just imagine yourself on that mountain, seeing what they saw.   Jesus was also joined on the mountain by Moses and Elijah—the giver of the law and a great prophet.   Their appearance is no small event.   God the Father spoke, telling Peter, James and John that Jesus is his beloved Son and that they should listen to him. His divinity was confirmed for them on that glorious day.   The three apostles were so moved by all of this that they simply fell prostrate.   What else could you do after witnessing such a sight?   It reminds me of another passage from Psalm 97. In the first few verses we learn that fire goes before the Lord; lightning illumines the world; the earth sees and trembles.   The Lord is
